Service 06 · Non-abrasive paint contaminant removal

Overspray removal. Without damaging your finish.

Construction overspray, industrial fallout, paint mist from a job site — safely removed with clay-bar decontamination, chemical neutralization, and machine polish. Your clear coat stays intact.

Overview

Overspray is recoverable.
If it's done correctly.

Overspray happens when an unrelated paint job — a building, a road-stripe truck, a neighbor’s fence — drifts onto your vehicle. The paint particles bond to your clear coat. Left alone, they’ll embed into the finish and become permanent. Removed wrong, they’ll take your clear coat with them.

Auto Magician’s overspray removal is a multi-step decontamination: full surface wash, clay-bar pull of bonded particulates, optional iron-fallout remover for ferrous contamination, and a final machine polish to restore the original gloss. We never sand a healthy clear coat, and we never use harsh solvents that strip the protective layer.

If the overspray came from a job site or a third-party contractor, you may have a property damage claim against their insurance. We document the damage with date-stamped photos, write a formal report, and bill the responsible carrier directly so your out-of-pocket is zero.

FAQ

Questions
we answer often.

Don’t see your question? Ask Alex or call us. We  answer the phone.

Most overspray from latex, solvent-based, and traffic-paint contamination is recoverable if treated within a few weeks. Old, fully-cured overspray on heavily-weathered clear coat may require a refinish.

Not when it’s done by Auto Magician. We use clay-bar and chemical decontamination — never aggressive solvents or sandpaper on healthy clear coat.

Most full-vehicle decontaminations are completed in 1–2 days. Severe cases may take longer.

Yes — if you can identify the responsible party. We provide formal photo documentation and an itemized estimate to support your claim, and we can bill their carrier directly.

Yes — once the overspray is removed, we can apply a ceramic coating or full paint correction so the surface is better protected against future contamination.
